Network meta-analyses are powerful tools, used to compare multiple interventions simultaneously, through direct and indirect evidence. Providing clearer insights into ranking of intervention based on effectiveness. As part of the Interpreting the Evidence Series, this session will walk participants through the structure and methodology of network meta-analyses—highlighting how to assess study quality, interpret pooled estimates, and detect common pitfalls such as publication bias and heterogeneity. With expert-led discussions and case-based examples, participants will build the skills needed to evaluate and apply synthesized evidence in everyday nephrology practice.

- Understand the core components and methodology of network meta-analyses, including study selection, data synthesis, bias and effect measures.
- Understanding how direct and indirect data is pooled, and analysed.
- Interpret and apply the findings from network meta-analyses to guide clinical decisions in nephrology.
