This webinar is a preparatory module for the Clinical Trials Pre-Course at WCN’26. This webinar will address two main areas of discussion: novel trial designs and generalizability. Sub-topics will include issues related to sex, gender, age, and what we can learn from those different groups. Challenges and needs in pediatric nephrology will also be discussed.  

Learning objectives:

  • To gain an understanding of the value of different trial designs to answer important questions. 
  • To gain an understanding of issues related including people across the age, sex, gender, ethnicity spectrum, and the value of inclusivity in interpreting clinical trials. 
  • To understand the specific challenges of studies in pediatric populations, and ways to overcome them.
