Kidney International Reports® (KIR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing leading research and developments related to kidney health.
Dedicated to improving the lives of people living with kidney diseases, the journal publishes original clinical and select translational articles and educational content related to the pathogenesis, evaluation, and management of acute and chronic kidney disease, kidney failure, transplantation, acid-base, fluid and electrolyte disturbances and hypertension.
The journal especially welcomes submissions on clinical trials, epidemiology, systematic reviews (including meta-analyses) and outcomes research. It also serves as a platform for disseminating national and regional guidelines and consensus meeting reports. Article categories include full-length research articles, research letters and case reports, as well as editorials, narrative reviews, and commentaries on recent developments in the field.
